Some good problematic things

This washer does some things which I dont understand. Its wash cycles rinse cycles seem too short even if I extend them. Also after rinsing the clothes dont smell clean. Could this be because it rinsed too thoroughly or because it didnt rinse long enough. Its not the cleanness of the washer or its rubber gasket. It gets wiped down after each cycle door is always left open. One fantastic thing about the washer is the way it dispenses bleach. It does it evenly does not leave bleach spots. I tried it on dirty whites colored towels.

Drum Stinks

Ive had my machine almost two years. It has a terrible smell than no one seems to know what to do with it. It smells like maybe a washcloth got stuck and is mildewed. I called Sears service and it was just a rip off as they came out without the hose I said it needed because I had damaged it trying to find the source of the stink. $ 129 wasted. Nothing can be found removing the drum to drain hose. Possibly something in between the drum and the drain pan? There are no accesses to the outer part of the inner drum. The cost to disassemble it and try to find the source is about the cost of a new one. I had an older LG Washer for over ten years and moved it to four different homes in four different states and never had a problem. I hate to pay for a new washer just because it stinks. The machine works fine.

I purchased my washer and dryer from Lowes on September 5th 2022. I also purchase an extended 5-year warranty. I recently started having problems with leaking from the front door and on the left side of the washer. I call customer service and explain the problem to them hoping that they would send a repairman out. Instead of sending a repairman out they emailed me instructions on how to fix the machine myself. I am not mechanically inclined I have no idea how to fix this machine. I am disappointed with the customer service.

Washer Orwell but does a not drain properly. I have been draining about 2 gallons of water after every 3 loads. It is supposed to be drained only once a month. I had a service technician look at this and he said all was working correctly.

LG contracted with RXO Logistics to deliver the washer and dryer but they have no-showed for the appointment TWICE and keep giving me the runaround when I call. Ordered the product online with an ETA confirmation for 9/13/24. On 9/13/24 called LG because of lack of delivery only to be initially diverted to the delivery contractor RXO who said they have no product at their warehouse and no ETA on delivery. Called LG back spoke to customer rep who identified himself as ICE who after 43 minutes of repeated holds and reassurance that the question is being escalated ended up with an answer that they have no ETA on the washer. He said to call back RXO on 9/17 to see if they can have any ETA at that time. I requested to have another washer sent expedited since they dont have an ETA on this one. I was told escalation team said its not possible because the product is shipped. I asked for a shipping date and got the reply today. I asked for a tracking number and I was told its not available. I told him that the website order status still shows processing and requested to speak directly to the escalation team that he has been speaking with. After another 10 minutes of hold I was told there is no one that I can talk to possibly meaning there was no escalation team to begin with and that he created a ticket number and would get a call back later because there is no one there. So after more than an hour and 10 minutes of repeated holds and escalation reassurances I was told that they have no idea when I will get the washer and I can cancel the order if I want. Disappointed would be an understatement right now.

I never knew I was using too much detergent After I found suds on the floor I called for a technician to come find the leak. He had me run the machine again and showed me how too much detergent was causing excess suds. No mechanical problems at all.

QUICK AND EASY 8/28/2024

Bought my new front load washer about a month ago so far so good I love it so much better than the old one. Love the front load option the simple dial control and choices of load size water temperature. clothes come out clean and smelling fresh.

Best gift to myself

I bit the bullet and bought a front load washer earlier this month and Im so glad I did. This was the best gift to myself. I love my washer. I wont let my husband near it. He wants to use it and I will not let him. The washer talks to me with cute little tunes to let me know it misses me. Gets clothes cleaner than my top load and sheets feel fresher. Im so happy

After much frustration I think I have gotten the idea of this machines functions. A lot of the instructions are on a strip in Black witch is very hard on the eyes. The manuel that came with the machine for a few other models also is very vague.. I had a service call and Dave was very helpful in explaining things to me so now I am liking the machine better.

Good Old Fashioned Customer Service

I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt and courteous service I received when I requested a service call for my LG washer. The first technician actually fixed the problem. He then came back with a second technician to make sure the washer was not leaking and he had a part with him to fix the problem if there was still a leak. The leak was fixed on his first visit so the part was not needed. Both technicians were pleasant courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you so much

My washer was installed in July and it has only worked for 4 weeks. Its had multiple repairs completed and the same issue persists. There is only one repair person in the area so I havent had a washer in weeks.

After only 59 days my brand new washer leaked all over my laundry room floor After calling LG support and doing a quick over the phone diagnosis I was told that I have to run 5 sets of tub cleaner through it. And that a sample of the tub cleaner would be mailed out to me. I never did receive any sample of the tub cleaner only samples of downy and tide.. I purchased 2 boxes of the recommended tub cleaner 5 packs per box the following day. Each cycle of the tub clean option runs for 93 minutes. It was a full 8 hour day just to run 5 sets of the cleaning cycle. I had the washer that this LG replaced for 15 years before I ever had any leak. Im very unhappy with my new LG washing machine. :

Not as quiet as I expected controls arent great for example I cant choose highest spin on the towel setting you have to change to a different setting to get it to spin fast.

LG are scam artists and will say anything to make a sale. I explained my current dryer/washer set up clearly to two different representatives and was told that the free installation would be no problem both times. Come to find out they wont install the washer nor reimburse me the costs of a third party installation. Dealing with the fiasco has been a nightmare with LG. Poor communication wont resolve the issue. They dont care that I was told by two different people something that didnt apparently follow their policy. I will never order from them again and cant recommend them.
